Who is Kirsty ZW?
Hi there! I'm Kirsty ZW. A Franco‑British, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ illustrator, who's often been called a carebear as an insult… But I believe being different is a strength.
I've often felt like a little alien (and sometimes still do!). It's not the nicest sensation... especially since it often comes with a deep feeling of solitude.
I would have loved to see people like me represented in the media while growing up. To feel less weird. To grow up feeling better in my own skin. To believe in myself more. In short, to avoid that deep angst that can sometimes cause dark thoughts.
That is why representing minorities, whichever they are, matters so much to me. Supporting the voices who need to be heard. Showing today's children and teens that they are not alone in their differences.
